STANFORD LAW & TECHNOLOGY ASSOCIATION
SLATA brings together Stanford Law School students, faculty, researchers, and practitioners interested in law and technology. We present speakers and panel discussions, organize visits to the legal departments of Silicon Valley high-tech companies, and help educate the Stanford Community about technology law issues. Within the broad scope of "technology law," our members pursue a variety of interests: patents, copyrights, and trademarks (both litigation and prosecution), intellectual property litigation, trade secret criminal prosecution and defense, biotechnology, software licensing, international technology distribution, and national technology policy questions.
STANFORD ENTERTAINMENT AND SPORTS LAW ASSOCIATION
SESLA provides information, job search support and camaraderie for students interested in entertainment industry careers, especially the practice of entertainment-related law. The association sponsors events that help to educate members about career opportunities in film, music, sports, theater, interactive media, and related fields. SESLA officers and members have worked closely with SLATA to develop the theme and panels of the Digital Landscapes conference.
STANFORD TECHNOLOGY LAW REVIEW
The Stanford Technology Law Review (STLR) is an innovative forum for intellectual discourse on critical issues at the intersection of law, science, technology, and public policy. Covering a broad array of topical areas, STLR combines technological expertise with a scholarly outlook in substantive discussion. To commemorate the Digital Landscapes conference, STLR will publish a symposium issue of papers presented at the conference.
