Overview
SLATA aims to provide a broad array of events that cater to many interests. In addition to our staple "Lunch with the JDs" and newly created "Dinner with the Profs" events, we also host a variety of truly exciting speaker events. September 4, 2008, 12:45-1:45pm, Library 2nd Floor Reference Lounge: Paul Goldstein Book Signing
The Stanford Law and Technology Association (SLATA) and the Robert Crown Law Library are proud to host a book reading by Paul Goldstein. The Stanford Bookstore will have a table where Goldstein's new book, A Patent Lie, will be available for purchase.

September 5, 2008, 2:00-4:00pm, Cooley Courtyard: Student Organization Fair
Come learn more about SLATA and how you can get involved! SLATA officers will discuss some of the upcoming events as well as ways you can participate.

Lunch with the JDs
Lunch with the JDs is a great forum for local IP lawyers to share stories and lessons from their experience with Stanford students. It is a great opportunity for lawyers to get to know our students and vice-versa. If you are a lawyer or firm interested in coming to talk, please contact our Lunch with the JDs Chair, Yina Dong, for more information.

Dinner with the Profs
Dinner with the Profs provides students to interact in an informal atmosphere with IP professors, leading to lively exchanges of ideas. We have previously hosted dinners with Professors Goldstein, Lemley, Lessig, and Greely. These were such a success that we hope many of the professors will give repeat performances this year!
